The first week is dedicated to setting you up for success. We’ll review the bootcamp’s structure, available resources, practical tips to structure your time, identify what’s unique about you, and understand the fundamentals of UX and UI design.

Learning UI takes a lot of practice and patience, so it’s best to start early in the program and keep practicing throughout so your skills are razor-sharp by the time you have to create your first high-fidelity designs.

Things are getting exciting with your first complete project. You’ll get to familiarize yourself with the fundamental design tools and steps in design by reverse engineering an app on your phone.

People are at the core of our craft, so we want you to develop a sensibility for all types of humans early on. Through observation and simulation exercises, we want to plant the seed for a future accessibility advocate.

This is where things are getting real. You’re going to define your career and portfolio strategy and kick off your first large-scale end-to-end real project.

By the end of your seventh week, you’ll have met your first users, spoken with them, and better understood what is their own experience with the problem or topic you’re tackling.

Extracting insights from the heaps of information you’ve collected will help you ideate your first solutions to the problem. This is the week when most of our students start feeling like they are actually designing something.

While you might be eager to jump into juicy UI designs after coming up with your first few ideas, we need to lay a strong foundation by defining our flows, information architecture, and wireframes.

With a fully-fledged concept, you’re ready to validate that your solution makes sense for the people you’re designing before spending precious time on high-fidelity designs.

Confident your solution works for your target audience, and you’ve had the chance to iterate, you’ll learn how to craft a beautiful User Interface that’s easy and delightful to use.

Testing the usability of our designs is a crucial process through which we ensure our user interface is clear, simple, and easy to use.

Case studies are a vital puzzle piece in the hiring process and the medium through which designers communicate the value of their work, articulate their design decisions, and show off their skills and experience.

The last eight weeks of the program are focused on building your portfolio projects. Compared to your playground project, now you’ll be focusing more on quality of execution, as you’ve already learned all the tools and steps you can go through to solve a problem.

We’ll teach you the ins and outs of the interview and application process through simulated interviews and feedback from hiring managers.

Once you've graduated, you'll join our select group of alumni across the world and continue participating in our career sessions and events we host. You'll also have access to bootcamp materials and the Slack community indefinitely, as we encourange you to continue connecting with mentors, students and the broad community. Career support will be available for up to six months after graduation.

Topics are delivered through video and written content.We have student community meetings that happen in several time zones, and your mentor meetings are set at a time that best works for both.

You'll be meeting your mentor weekly for half an hour, individually, so you get the help that you need, instead of being part of a larger group. We match students and mentors based on availability and other factors, and you can always request a rematch should you be unhappy.

Most of our students secure a role as a UX, UI or Product Designer during the program or right after graduation. So far, 100% of our students secured a role within six months of graduating.

We believe any background can prove to be a unique advantage in your career as a UX Designer. Basic knowledge of how to operate a computer is required.

We have prepared for you two practice projects and up to three high-quality projects to include in your portfolio. No two students work on the same project, so you'll get a unique portfolio to show in interviews. No fictional or cookie cutter projects either.

During the program, we help you define your career strategy, build a relevant portfolio, and train for interviews. After graduation, we support your job hunt efforts for up to six months.

We recommend our students put in roughly 20 hours per week to complete the program in six to nine months. The actual time required may vary based on your background, prior knowledge, and personal context. Most of our students have a full time job, kids, are caretakers for a loved one or have other commitments.

Yes, all students receive a certificate for completing the program. Our best students also receive a personal written recommendation from their mentor that they can include in their job applications.
